With the Spring Festival approaching, terminals are busy in Haikou Meilan International Airport (hereinafter referred to as “Meilan Airport”) of Hainan Airport Group. In the Chinese New Year golden week (February 10-17) of 2024, approximately 910,700 passengers fly with 5,265 flights in Meilan Airport. The passenger peak is expected on February 16 (the seventh day of the first lunar month), involving 672 flights and about 122,200 passengers. This will further unleash the tourism market vitality of Hainan Free Trade Port.
Meilan Airport provides the following tips. There will be a large number of passengers during the Spring Festival holiday. Passengers without checked baggage are allowed for online check-in through official channels of corresponding airlines, and also for direct security check and boarding in Meilan Airport. Those with baggage to be checked shall arrive at the airport 3 hours in advance for check-in without delay. Please keep more time for duty-free shopping or pick-up. If any passenger is not in the correct terminal, please take a shuttle bus at Door 2-3 of Terminal 1 Arrival or Door 3 of Terminal 2 Arrival in Meilan Airport.
